Carapeti qualified from Guy's Hospital Medical
School in 1989 and trained in surgery in London
and South East England. His research was in the
treatment of benign ano-rectal disorders at St
Mark's Hospital and he was awarded the Doctor
of Medicine (MD) degree in 2000. Having specialised
in colorectal surgery at St Mark's Hospital London
and Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, he is now
a consultant general and colorectal surgeon at
Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals. His special interests are management of haemorrhoids and pilonidal sinus disease, and he is a specialist in the surgical treatment of complex Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. |
